what we believe:
We believe that drama training is important for EVERYONE! Whether it is gaining confidence to speak in front of your class, or auditioning for a starring role- drama training is something that will serve you for a lifetime! we believe that it is up to organizations like ours to educate young people about family-friendly and age-appropriate live theatre. We believe that a camp that puts emphasis on team work, responsibility, respect, and cooperation is setting good foundation for the future. We believe that every child has different and unique talents, and they are all important in community theatre!
WHo we are:
We are Miss Mona's Drama Instructors, Chip & Traci ADDison. We have been joyfully directing this camp for its 12 successful years, and have enjoyed watching it grow each year! we have onstage, backstage, and technical experience and a love of all things theatrical, and we are supported by a wonderful staff of professionals, volunteers, and camp alumni who make our week-long adventure twice as much fun!
What we do:

During your week you'll learn and explore the basics of acting technique, scene work, blocking, choreography, lighting design, sound design and engineering, costuming, makeup, improvisation, set design and building, drama exercises and games, publicity, audition preparation, guest speakers, musical theatre study & trivia, backstage managing, and...
OH YEAH!! We put on a FULL-SCALE production at the end of one week- with costumes, full sets, and everyone performing without scripts! IT'S EXCITING, A LITTLE NERVE-WRACKING, AND ALWAYS FABULOUS!!
WHERE WE ARE:
During our week, our home is Showtimer's Theatre on 419/ McVitty Rd. Miss Mona's loves teaming up with Showtimers for this venture. Between the two organizations, we have more than 120 years invested in bringing the community theatre and performing arts experience to the roanoke valley and surrounding areas!

Our Policies:
Space is limited in our camps. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and once the camps are filled, we will start a waiting list. Registration is not complete without full payment of tuition. Due to the popularity of our camp, we cannot offer ANY REFUNDS of tuition once you have registered.
