Also, note below that six week classes in Parent/Child Dance, Preschool Dance, and Drama will also be taught this winter and spring at Greenridge Rec Center in Roanoke County! Registration for those classes will be through Roanoke County Parks and Recreation Center, so please watch their website for online registration information. Registration for Greenridge classes is December 18.  Greenridge classes will begin the week of January 10th. A second session of these classes will begin April 17.

Fall Class & Registration Information for 2011-2012.

Ages & Class Prerequisites:

Tiny Tots: ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2. Ballet basics, plus rhythm, movement, coordination activities. If beginning in September, must turn 3 by December of that year.

Preschool: ages 3 1/2 to 4 1/2. Builds on Tiny Tots foundations and prepares the students to begin a ballet/tap combo when they start Kindergarten.

Mini & Beginner Jazz : ages 5-8. Must be enrolled in a combo class to take fall class

Beginner Jazz/ Hip Hop: ages 7 & up, or completion of Tap 2, or instructor's approval

Summer Explore-Dance Level 1 & 2: one hour a week- 6 weeks- 6 different classes- Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, clogging, and drama

Clogging 1 & 2: ages 6 & up, or instructor's approval

Acro/ Pointe/ Competition: must be recommended by instructor

Class Descriptions

Parent & Child Dance LEVEL 1: for Moms, Dads, Grandparents, or Caregivers and their babies ages 1 month to 15 months. Parents will enjoy a class of stretching, music, movement, and various yoga techniques while enjoying some quality time with your little one. A workout for mind and body, and a fun bonding experience for your babies!  Babies will experience different types of music and fun coordination games and rhythm exercises. Six week course begins Sept 14. Cost is $65 for one parent and their little one.  Convenient morning hours!

Parent & Chiuld Dance LEVEL 2- Rhythm Rascals!: for Parents/ Grandparents/ Caregivers and their babies ages walking to 2 1/2. Your little one will have fun moving and groovin with mom or dad with songs, ballet, tap, and baby acrobatic work. Don't miss this fun class! Six week course begins Sept 14. Cost is $65 for one parent and their little one. Convenient morning hours!

Tap/ Ballet Combo Classes: An hour-long class consisting of both ballet and tap. For students ages 5 to 8.

You may register by phone or in person or by calling 387-9575 or emailing us. If you are returning student, you may register in this convenient way, or by emailing letsdance@missmonas.com. After those hours, please leave a message and a staff member will return your call.

We will also be holding an in-studio registration day on Saturday, August 20 from 10am- 2pm. Come in, meet the teachers, tour the studio, and pick up any pertinent information. This is a great option for all new students.

For currently enrolled students who are changing their classes for fall, we need to speak with you regarding these changes. Please call or come by during our registration times. Current students with schedule problems, please send an email to letsdance@missmonas.com.
