Miss Mona's is proud of its ever-expanding Drama Curriculum. Under the direction of Chip Addison, our drama program has grown and taught many young local performers through the years.

Our students and staff have been seen in many Mill Mountain and Showtimers productions, local high school productions, WCOX's televised "Wannabe" and even commercial work.

Our classes give students the opportunity to investigate all different facets of theatre, from the techniques of performing, backstage work, set building, costumes and improvisation skills. We also offer workshops in audition preparation and private work is available for those getting ready for a specific audition.

We encourage team-building, responsibility and preparedness in all students and believe that drama is a great class for everyone, regardless of their interests. It is also the perfect opportunity to develop a well-rounded performer.

In the summer, Miss Mona's has its annual Summer Drama Camp. During this 40-hour one-week camp, students aged 7 - 17 will not only have hands on experience with all aspects of theatre, including ushering and choreography workshops, but they perform a full one-act production for their family and friends at the end of the week.

The show is run entirely by the students from beginning to end, including lighting technicians, costumers, program designers and stage managers. Taught by Chip and Traci Addison, with special guests, the students have fun while learning the fundamentals, and because of so many students returning year after year, there's lots of room for individualized instruction and encouragement.

Drama Camp I- June 21-25th, 2010 from 8 am- 4 pm at Showtimers ($175) For beginner to advanced level.

.Drama Camp II- August 9-13- from 8 am- 4 pm at Showtimers ($175)  For advanced students who have attended two previous sessions of Miss Mona's drama camp.

Call or email for a registration form. Camps fill quickly and space is limited. Registration is only complete with tuition paid in full.

For dancers and actors, voice lessons help to open more opportunities to perform in live theatre, where singing is an integral part of many shows.

Taught on a private or semi-private basis, our voice lessons offer unbeatable one-on-one training with our experienced and qualified instructors. Because our studio is based in the Broadway style, stage presence is as important to us as technique.
